We are looking for a Data Development Contractor to join our Business Intelligence team for a three month project. We are taking data to the next level, transforming traditional reporting into creative visualization. We are looking for someone to come in as our Looker expert as we deploy a client-facing reporting portal.

What you’ll be doing:

We are using Looker as our reporting engine and will be embedding visualizations into our own application. The job includes:

  • Assist team with provisioning and testing the datastore
  • Complete extensive data modeling
  • Direct and complete visualization and report design and development
  • Support the development team in embedding, testing, and launch of portal
  • Assist in managing one full time resource assigned to this project
  • Manage the project with the department lead

Who you are:

  • You are a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • You have a BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • You have 6-12 months focused experience in Looker, displaying advanced skills
  • You have 5 years experience with SQL, doing DBA work and advanced queries
  • You have experience with embedded analytics
  • You have familiarity with managed database solutions, particularly Snowflake, at least having run a trial with it
  • You have prior consulting experience with implementation or project management work, preferably certified in Project Management
  • You are independent and a self-starter, able to meet deadlines
  • You are competent in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • You are great with details and persistent in problem-solving
  • You communicate effectively, written and verbally
